Houston Tacoma tuning

Does anyone know or do ott or vf tuning in the Houston area? I’ve found 0 results so far and I’ve been searching for about a month now.

We do not currently have anyone in Houston proper, but our TX crew visits regularly. Reach out to them and they can advise you when their next visit will be.

There’s a shop in Houston that has their own tune (check my signature). Also join the “Toyotas in Texas” Facebook page. There’s a guy from Austin that takes trips to Houston to do tunes. Cant 100% remember his name but I think it’s Brody & I think Downhill Dragon is the tune.

 

if you can’t find anyone in H-Town, I’m 20 min from Hidden Falls Adventure park and I have tuning software. Process is usually less than an hour.

Can you use VF tuner to change the alternator voltage to handle an AGM battery? Looking to replace mine with a 24F X2 battery.

 

yes.

 

there’s a huge thread on agm tuning. Only thing is, different years require different data entries to get it up to 14.4vdc. I believe for yours it will just be a single adjustment, where the newer models require a little more map adjustment.

Thanks, I'll hit you up in September when I get some things sorted. Still need to replace my leaf springs as well in the meantime.
