Hello all, and I hope my first post here makes sense.

I am attempting to install an add a fuse and have done a good amount of research on the subject. The last thing that is holding me up is to properly orient the pigtail wire on the add a fuse.

Ive tried searching and using my multimeter, but it’s too thick to get into the empty fuse Block.

has anyone here previously been able to find out which side of the(any) empty (10a) fuse block gives off 12v? Thanks in advance for any help!

I'd probably trial and error this with a multimeter, but I bet @MESO knows off the top of his noggin

Take the fuses out of the add a fuse, use a meter on the wire and put the addafuse into the empty slot on the lower left. Correct orientation will give you no reading, incorrect (backwards) will give you 12v.

The inside legs of the two rows of fuses are 12v supply. Orient the pigtail towards the front of the truck if using the row on the left, to the rear of the truck if using the row on the right. Thats what I did to wire my switchpro years ago and havent had any faults or failures yet.

You can also probe a blown fuse to determine which side has power. Some add-a fuse products require a fuse in the "original" circuit slot in order to reach the "added" slot. I assume it uses one leg of the original fuse to jump to the newly added circuit.
