    Hey y'all

Just a quick post for an annoying issue which I am sure everyone has had. How come I can't get those roubd black rubber stoppers adjusted properly??

Remove them and see if the problem goes away. If it does you know you can adjust them to where they need to be. If not, it could be the hood latch. Instead of slamming it, you can also drop it from the height that gives it just enough momentum to catch on the latch.

Treated it like my old F150, raise it up maybe a foot and just let it drop into place, not necessarily slamming it, just letting gravity work.

If I remember correctly, the hood latch where it mounts to that center support does have a little play in the bolts for adjustment. Start there before twisting and messing about with the two bumpers.

Mine would not latch for a while without serious slam. Just buy a new latch mechanism. They're like $10 and take 20 minutes to install.

Try some pb blaster and open and close the hood a couple times. The latch might be gummed up.

Guys, I loosened the top 2 10mm nuts and used Kroil to lubricate everything. Removed the two black rubber dampeners completely and the hood closed just fine. I put the rubber dampeners back on but thus time much lower and it seems to be working well.

    Thanks everyone

This is what was wrong with mine. I Fluid Filmed it and it loosened up. Also helped the hood pop on release.
