I live in a state that is notorious for rocks on the highway (Colorado). This is mainly because they don't salt the roads in the winter, which is nice, but it means they use dirt and the another anti-icer. Either way, we also have a crap ton of construction which leads to lots and lots of rocks. Has anyone ever used the clear plastidip on there hoods in place of a vinyl clear bra? Just a thought! Thanks! Pictures if you have?

Haven't done this or seen it done but I think it's a great idea. Keeps the hood looking clean while offering protection, like 3M film. Tape off a few inches and get four coats on there. The many times I have dipped things, they have lasted well over three years before losing any integrity.

Not sure of the longevity/durability of Plastic-dip where bugs/rocks/general debris etc will be hitting. Why not just use Xpel if you want to add a coating for protection?

I made the mistake of waiting to long to do this on the front end right off the bat...

Trade it in for a new one every 3 years and make it someone else’s problem
