Too narrow at the bottom. Needs to be a triangle. Just buy jackstands, don't be a dummy

    Seen worse, used worse.
However, those don't provide any slip protection. The frame of the truck could easily slide on them. Unlike a stand, which has a saddle that you can put on a point that will rest down into it preventing slip.

Not telling you what to do. Just a story.
I worked with a guy named George. He dropped a engine and transmissionless race car chassis off home made stands on his head. He was alone, and stuck for hours. He lost one eye, and has nerve damage. He is lucky he was found in time to live. He still works on heavy equipment. He is downright obsessive about blocking, cribbing, and support.

Good dude, just made one little mistake that almost cost him his life.

Too easy to tip over. They won't collapse, but they are not "safe" either. If you want to DIY it, try the block style.

Do we need to start a GODUMBME Fund? Don't be that guy, that guy we talk about and share the story with friends after a few beers. While it may seem safe, you're putting a lot of trust in those but the base isn't secure like many have said. You're also on a decline from what I see and that's not going to help you neither.

Just purchase some quality jack stands and they'll pay you dividends for years to come. I actually over do it with 3 jack stands as well as the actual jack underneath in multiple areas. I tend to work on my vehicle alone and if the jack fails, I'm pretty much SOL.

I actually got some really great Jack stands. Harbor Freight ones. They were free as well.

I like my life and extremities so I say sketch. I think I’d cough up the $50 bucks for a one time lifetime expense.
