Hit a deer yesterday going about 55. Collision shop said there is a lot of damage and not sure when I will get my truck back or even if I will. Can’t drive truck as the radiator is leaking and was shoved into the engine. No air bags went off. Truck stayed on course during the event. A SUV going the other direction hit the deer after I did and went off the road and rolled over. The deer was shredded. Everybody was OK and walked away with no injuries.

More then likely going to depend on any possible frame damage... My 06 sustained $12,000 in damage, including airbag deployment from hitting a tire on a rim on the interstate at 60, but it was repaired...

Glad everyone is okay after that. I've hit small animals (racoons and coyotes) and still had to check my drawers after lol

Glad everyone was ok (except the deer)
I hit a deer on the interstate going 70mph back in May.
The final bill turned into insurance was $18,200.

The Tacomas don't take deer collisions very well. My wife recently hit a deer with her 2011 RAV4 and only had $1500 damage and it wasn't that noticeable.

It's getting to be that time, Watch out!
Of course, sometimes that's nothing you can do, other making sure not to jerk the wheel, and put yourself in an even worse position.

10k sound fair. My buddy hit a deer in his Lexus suv and air bag deployed and totalled it. Repair cost was 13k without alignment and hidden/unseen damages.

Tied several boat anchors to my truck to destroy MPG.
Welcome to the deer ramming club. I hit mine about the same spot on the truck, but slower (35 or so) and the deer actually ran away.
