It just rained here recently in SoCal and I noticed that after the storm had passed, the high beam indicator on my dash would turn on whenever I turn my headlights on even though my high beams are off which has never happened before. However, when I do turn my high beams on, the indicator on the dash would turn on of course, but just brighter like how it was before.

Has this happened to anyone and if so, were you able to fix it? Thanks in advanced

I installed a set of these Spyder headlights back in March as well as a set of Beamtech LED bulbs

I would bet it's a bad headlight ground. If 1 of your headlights is dimmer on low beam, than the other side, that's the side with the bad ground.

I concure on the bad ground.

The dimmer/turn signal/headlight switch is the weak link.

On my truck, with HID lights (aftermarket ofc), the headlights and high beams stop working sometimes
Idk why!!! And when I go to turn the headlights on, the high beam indicator turns on just like in yours. And then when I turn the high beams on, the high beam indicator gets brighter. Problem is, neither lights turn on...

Did you find a solution to this? Mine is doing it now. But happened just after I did some welding on the truck. I did disconnect the battery completely before welding on the truck though so maybe it's just a coincidence. But same issue. Turn my headlight on and high beam and headlight indicator on but no headlights are on. Have aftermarket Morimoto HID kit with projector retrofit.

You know what my solution was? Ditch HID. Fuck that shit. I ripped it all out along with the MESS of wiring under the hood it creates. Placed in some cool aftermarket headlights with regular old halogen bulbs (brighter ones tho). My hood is now clean and organized.

my HID kit caused issues for years and it was installed correctly
There are so many things that can go wrong with the HID kit
Most likely the ballast boxes burned but there are a million places which could lead to a short or something of the sort

Got it figured out. Either my high beam or regular headlight connector was messed up. Unplugged it and plugged it back in and works fine. I think it's high beam. Had a bit of corrosion in it and maybe just shorted out had a poor connection and wouldn't work.

    Oh wow
    Awesome!! Glad to hear
Yeah I checked every connection on mine. Every fuse. Every wire
I think it was the ballast boxes but I didn’t even care anymore
    I’m happy I switched lol
