Looking at ordering a HC rear bumper with a tire swing out soon. Looking at Relentless Fab and Brute Force Fab right now. I’ve read a bunch of threads but I’d like to know positives/negatives you guys have with your specific bumpers. Thanks!

Please post photos if you have them

A big thing for me is plate bumpers weigh alot. I went with Warfabs rear tube bumper and it weighs about half what a plate bumper does. Just something for you to think about aswell.

Almost everyone i know who had a swingout tire carrier has ended up ditching/selling it fwiw. Usually stoked on it initially, end up hating them for lots of different reasons (weight, truck access issues, rear vis issues etc. ) So maybe just think a bit about it before you drop a ton of extra money for that feature!
i think the biggest con is weight and the MPG hit, and the fact you have to cut your bedsides (can't reinstall stock bumper)

If you can weld, check out coastal offroad, probably the most affordable option out there but it is a kit you put together yourself which is why the price is so low. (also the price is in canadian!). If not Bruteforce fab's pricing is almost impossible to beat!

Both build solid products and you can’t go wrong with either. I personally prefer Brute Force. You might also consider the new BAMF rear bumper (all west coast fabricators).
The only thing I would do different is to get a dual swingout. To this day I don’t know why I didn’t even think about a dual when I purchased.
These bumpers do have the disadvantages as stated above, but at the end of the day it depends on the intended use of the truck and if it will fit your needs.
One trivial thing I do like is it’s the best tailgate lock ever, again depending on your build this may or may not be a thing for you.

Yeah I don’t reallllly need a HC at this point.. but I’d rather go HC now vs regret it later. And a tire carrier/fuel would be really nice, I usually pack my bed full and don’t have room to mount it in there. It barely fits in the spare right now lol

But you want one...they have their usefulness. And if you do get a dual swingout, that’s I’ll can say.

Think I’ve narrowed it down to brute force or warFab. Really like the warfab rear but I like the table/rear camera relocate on the brute force

also, why is everyone saying dual swing out? Curious about the advantages

Brute Force Fab is the shit, even with the full size spare, and loaded trasharoo on one side and two full Jerry cans, and a high lift on the other the swingouts are super smooth and don't sag one bit. The camera relocation works perfectly and can use the factory camera already in your tailgate. The fitment was perfect, he has bedside stiffenes that go inside the fender well that prevent the bed sides from flapping around. And the fold down table is perfect for a small stove, or your bar.

For me the main reasons for a dual:
    1) A single is one long lever with all the weight on one corner of the bumper. The dual you have the weight somewhat distributed on both corners. Keep in mind I believe you will lose some length of the table with BF.
    2) With a single you sometimes have to be aware of the distance behind you for opening the swingout.
    3) if you’re utilizing an awning (depending on mounting) there could be interference with the walk around area below the awning with the “longer” swingout.
Also, you can modify the rear camera mount however you want for any bumper you go with.

I love the design as functionality of the brute force. And the added side protection. But I like true minimalism/weight of the warfab. I just don’t have room in my bed for a spare which sucks

Warfab has swingouts. And if you call and talk to him or message him in here you can probably work something out for the table. I'm not sure about a back up camera but he might be able to do something.

Yeah I saw that. Maybe he could just weld a plate on for the camera, I could do my own drilling, etc

BAMF is modular so you can remove the swingouts using standard hardware if you want to save weight/mall crawl.

This is how I mounted the camera. Some on here would not approve. I didn’t want the wire loom run exposed and fastened to the swingout. So I gave up a plate light.
