I am looking hard at the Heretic Fog Light Kit with the Combo Lens. For 22 SR Double Cab.

Has anyone had experience with the Fog Light Kit? Or Heretic in general? DD is my backup option.

So if you want something that is street legal in any form or fashion the Heretic is not for you. They have lights that will go into the factory fog light location, but do not have any pattern that is street legal. If you are just looking for a place to put an offroad light then they are an effective solution. If you are looking for a street-legal light then the Diode Dynamics are still pretty much the gold standard in that regard. We have them here at Hotshot Offroad as well should you still be shopping. If you're still on the fence and have more questions I'm happy to help with that as well.

To spell out @memario1214 response in clear terms:
Heretic lights are not fogs. They should never be run on the street as they will blind other drivers since they do not have properly engineered cut offs. Their lack of focused optics will also likely make them much lower output intensity than Diode Dynamics which utilize some of the most advanced and most efficient TIR optics. Heretic's lack of optical focus and lack of engineered cut offs is also going to make them highly ineffective in fog and poor weather, where sharp cut-offs are necessary to prevent backscatter. Diode Dynamics on the other hand has great cut offs in the Sport, Max and Elite products. For street fog use, there is no contest at all, it is Diode Dynamics all the way over Heretic. Heretic isn't even in this conversation as a legitimate product. If you were interested in trail only use, with desiring more of a short range flood for trail awareness then Heretic could be more palatable, though Diode has alternative patterns available for that use as well.

Thanks for the breakdown on that. I found myself shopping between the two also. Im a newb when it comes to lighting, so I was solely going off the amber look. ill take on road functionality all day.
