Figured I would put this here for the 4cyl guys looking for a lightweight A/T tire. Had 235-85-16 Toyo ATIII which are 10 ply on my truck for 40,000 miles. I loved the size but hated the ride and the were loud from the start and wore like crap no matter what pressure I ran and after a couple alignments. Went to my local tire shop wanting Faulken Wildpeaks and he talked me into these which are 265-75-16 for less money. Also come with 60,000 mile tread life and free road hazard, with a weight of 37 lbs. rides so much better and are quite for now. I know how much weight affects our trucks and thought y’all might be interested. IMG_1581.jpg IMG_1580.jpg

I was planning on stepping down from 265/75/16s to 235/85/16s because it’s a more narrow tire. You dropped about 10lbs per corner but went to a wider tire. Besides the ride how does the power feel any difference from switching. I have cooper at3 4s at 41lbs the next set of tires I was looking at was Firestone XT In 235 which are 39lbs. Figured it would be the best of both worlds a hair lighter and not as wide. That is light for that size tire if you don’t mind me asking how much were they. Curious how they will ride and sound once you get a few thousand miles.

If they made a 235 in something other than 10ply I would have bought them, really liked the size but the rough ride just wore on me. These might not hold up only time will tell, just taking a chance. Tires were 775.00 OTD. Not sure about the noise later but for now their not bad at all

Sold the truck so only put 4-5000 miles on them. Was satisfied with them for the time I had them.

I’ve had 4 sets of these tires , 2 on my Tundra and 2 on my Taco. Absolutely love these tires. They do it all. They are also very quiet on the highways. I go into the back country a lot hunting and fishing and travel rough dirt and gravel and rutted roads. Also some 4wd roads/trails. Great traction and they have always gotten me there and home. I’m not a rock crawler but I take them into some pretty challenging places. They have extra siping and deep siping which really improves traction in wet rainy conditions. They also have the 3 peak mountain snow flake symbol/rating which means they can handle snowy and slippery roads quite well and I’ve done a lot of winter driving. 60000 mile warranty. They have a 2 year road hazard warranty.
I’m getting a new set next week of the newer version the X-Venture. I’ve got 50000 miles on them and they still have a lot of life in them but I tend to replace my tires sooner than I need to. Great tires.
