Installed s-Pod BantamX today, Somehow when I was pulling the Cat 5 through the firewall I pushed my cable out of the latch, And I just can’t seem to figure out how it slides back in, would anyone happen to have a photo? I can only find videos of the second GEN, But that latch is different.

    I do not envy you.

I disconnected mine so I could pull the whole panel for a stereo install. It was a major pain in the ass to reconnect it.

From what I remember, you have to work the panel from both sides, so undo those screws and pull the lower dash. Feed the cable through, attach the end tip first, then attach the cable sleeve second. Then reattach the lower dash panel.

Well I can get it back in the handle but it won’t stay, the cable housing seems like it should be anchored down somewhere

I think there is a notch in the housing, right where the cable enters... that notch should clip into the white plastic clip.

It might make it easier if you can pop the hood... taking tension off of the cable, giving it more slack. Although that may be difficult or impossible with the cable disconnected from the latch.

Just like Saturday nights, just pull the ball and it opens right up. I've futzed with mine plenty of times, it's a right pita to get back in the latch but not impossible

Same thing happen to mine when I had it inspected. The guy "Yanked on it". Took 15 minutes for the inspection and 45 minutes for me to reattach the cable. The next year I told them if you need the hood opened, I will open it for you.

My cable fell out when I was putting a remote start in. I got the cable and wire back in but when I pull the lever it seems the wire itself has too much slack and might be stretched out? Any solutions?
