Ask your Toyota parts department, they will tell you what should be installed. You’ll get 12 different answers here.

Dm93, I agree totally. However the FK20HR11 have been installed. I thought that the FK were some type of upgrade. Learned the hard way not to always trust parts store. Thanks, will be replacing tomorrow.

They would probably be fine, looks like it has an extra platinum tip on the ground electrode. they aren't listed for an 07 Tacoma though at least not on rock auto.

Did u get them from the dealer or different auto parts store ? Things like this I get from the dealer and have cross check the numbers for the vehicle . I almost purchased some online through an auto parts store said the plugs fitted my truck … cross checked the numbers did not match . Another thing u can do is call a dealership in the future they can give you the exact part number .

Considering it's only 4 plugs, I would seriously recommend getting them from a dealer. It's not something my DIY mindset likes either(I've got stacks of rock auto magnets!), but let me explain.

These newer direct coil ignition systems are pickier and run far tighter tolerances than the older distributor systems, and there's far too many counterfeit plugs everywhere, even auto parts stores in some cases. And the differences between real and genuine are sometimes impossible nuanced, but can result in real engine damage if ignored. There's been plenty of reports of plugs that don't conduct, or far worse, plugs that disintegrate after a few running cycles.

Plugs are a job I only want to have to do once, and given the risks of poor quality, I just get my plugs from the dealer. Even if it makes it the most expensive part I'll ever buy.

Thanks for all the help. I went with the recommended SK20HR11 today. As Dm93 pointed out, the only difference was the grounding design. Toyota wants a standard ground, the FK20HR11 that the parts store sent has what they call needle to needle ground, you can actually see an extra tip on the ground electrode, hence, needle to needle. Good advice from all, again, thanks.
