Trying to figure out what size tire I can fit at stock height. Want a little taller and wider then the 31x10.5x15 I have on now, and I want to go bigger then a 15" rim.

    What about this tire size?
    285/70/17

    Will it fit stock height?

That will fit if you never plan to turn your steering wheel. That's basically a 33" tire. Lots of rubbing.

33 is a bit bigger. I know the 1st gen will fit 32s, just not sure if I can fit this.

just what I need to do what I want
Forgive my quick diversion, but ToyoTaco02, how are your three lights mounted? This is what I want on my 03 DCSB and cannot find a good picture or explanation of how to do it from someone who has had success with it. Will you please pm me some pics and/or description? Thanks in advance. Sorry for the thread jack but this is perfect timing for my next project.

even with a 31x11.5 you would rub a little due to the increased width. going up in diameter would make it rub sooner. spacers/pinch weld if you get the 285/70, maybe even mud flaps at that point.

If you are changing wheel size to 16", you should be able to fit the OEM 265-70-16 tire without issues.

    Good luck.

265/75/16 will rub on full turn especially with an aggressive tread tire. You can pull off the mudflap and use a heat gun to melt the wheel arch back a bit. I went wth grabber at2s and the rub was definitely there. Also very close to the frame with potential for rub.

    Uhm... OK.
    OP,
You'll be fine with no lift and 265-70-16's.

I ran 265-75-16's for quite a while. No rubbing, period.
    Good luck.

Sometimes the AT tire tread makes a difference. Grabbers definitely rubbed at full lock, just got them a month or two ago.

pretty sure he doesn't want stock size, which you are suggesting :)

@smmarine it all depends on the tire and tread if/how much they will rub.

    ... yeah, my bad. I meant 265-75's.
    Good catch, thanks.
