HELP! Stripped bed rail torx screws

    I have the same issue. Were you able to find out the replacement size once you got them removed I have not been able to find the correct ones on my search. Thanks.

    You can check on https://bakindustries.com/replacement-parts or else call them directly. I called them before and they were able to get me squared away on missing items that were no on their site.

    FYI: if you’re putting a bakflip mx3 cover, you don’t need the screws.

    @tacopeter This happened to me this weekend when trying to install a tonneau cover. I used your method and am happy to report that it worked.

    Did you replace the screws with the OEM ones? Or did you buy others less likely to strip?

    Also, for others reading this I used with a shot of penetrating oil 30min before drilling. I started from #1 and worked my way up to #4 and that size got it off rather quickly. Did not need the extractor screws, just the LH drill bits.

    That’s great to hear! No, I didn’t need to replace them since I installed a Bakflip cover with the supplied screws.
