Hello guys, I will be dissembling the front of my 2007 Tacoma V6 2WD to replace the bad wheel bearing, so I decide to go one step further to swap out some old parts.

I’m look to replace both driver & passenger sides in the front of my vehicle using Moog parts such as Upper Control Arm with Ball Joint, Low Control Arm with Ball Joint, Inner and Outer Tie Rod, and Stabilizer Bar Link so I can do the alignment all at once.

I’m also looking for a pair of front Strut but could not find anything make by Moog. Is there any other brands I need to consider? I’m not looking for anything crazy just regular driving from home to work.

Also, anybody knows the size of stabilizer bar bushing for this particular vehicle? I called several nearby dealers and they couldn’t help me with the size.

    Thank you

Moog has gone downhill, as I had previously read, crossed my fingers and bought some end links, here’s what I got. One of the rears arrived preblown. The fronts didn’t make a year before cracking.

There's a good chance you'll need the lower control arm hardware, meaning the bolts and alignment cams. I can't recommend enough that you use OEM Toyota hardware for this.

As far as the diameter of the sway bar goes, you'd be best off just measuring what you have. Those bushings are pretty much an 'off the shelf' item.

    I’d recommend MevoTech over Moog.
I’m with @Waasheem on this one.
Moog has been less than impressive lately. They were great in the early 2000’s.
But in the last few years, not so much.

Not to highjack the thread, but i also need sway bar end links. I want some with wrench flats on the joint side of the bolt, instead of that stupid 6mm hex on the nut end. Any recommendations or part numbers?

Thank you... I've been reading and have heard that Moog going downhill lately as you said ... I'm about to order some parts from MevoTech on RockAuto. Any good bands for the struts?

I like Bilstein. But I’m not sure if RockAuto sells them.

I already placed an order for that... Has anybody here used struts made by TRQ from 1aauto? I found this set to replace the OEM struts and but not sure if they are quality products!!

Bilstein 5100s (or 4600s if you don't want the adjustable spring perches) are really your best bang for the buck.

With regards to drop links for your swaybar and tie rod ends, the best non-OEM brand I've found are greasable Proforged. I just recently replaced some Proforged TREs and drop links that made it through 50 and 65k of rough use, and very salty winters - way way better longevity than Moog or Mevotech. I can't speak for their BJs, but if I needed some I wouldn't hesitate to go with them based on my experience with their links and TREs.

I recently rebuilt my king shocks and suspension (Icon Uppers new Delta Joints and bushings, removed sway bar , new tie rod ends, fresh rotors and brakes, lower ball joints). Hardest part was the lower ball joints. I rented a good ball joint press from CarQuest. Purchased a Milwaukee Impact Gun 1/2” to torque the press (Epic tool that is worth the $400, instead of paying someone else’s labor )

It is key to have the power of a high torque impact. Make sure the receiving cup diameter is larger than the shoulder of the lower ball joint, I overlooked that on the first try.

    Front end floats again!

I rebuilt my front suspension last year ( I had a shop do it :)). OEM lower control arms, inner/outer tie rods, camber bolts, Sway bar end links. Dirt king UCA, 6112s, poly sway bar bushings. I also replaced ALL of the washers, nuts, bolts, clips and everything with OEM. Since they were going to be rusted and a mess, I told the shop to do whatever they needed to get them off since I have nice shiny ones to replace them all. Talked to Toyo tech and he helped me build a cart for all the hardware.

Totally worth going OEM on anything that can fail or break. The other stuff fails or breaks first!!
