    Hello,

I want to remove the bedliner to take a look under, clean it up and patch the holes.

I see plastic clips that seem to be holding it, but I don't want to force things and break them. What is the trick to remove the bedliner? thanks.

Is it a plastic drop in bedliner? Are you wanting to reinstall it later or sell it? If not, just yank it out.

Correct, plastic drop in. I want to reinstall it once I patch the holes that let water thru to the bed.

Gotcha. My old plastic bedliner had no clips, and I'm not familiar with 1st gens so much so hopefully someone drops in with an answer.

Shouldn't be too hard to figure out, just be careful!

remove screws, push in and down while reaching behind it to pry it out from under the rail.

once you get one side loose the other is much easier

start at the tailgate where it has more flex and as soon as you get the first catch out, you will see what you need to do for the rest
