Help please! OEM Rotors - New OEM rotors - Use brake cleaner or not?

    About to change brakes. Not sure if OEM Toyota rotors should use brake cleaner or not. I think yes, but being told no. Please help!

    Yea you need to clean them so you don’t contaminate the pads

    Brake cleaner does no harm to the rotors. Spray it onto a clean rag and wipe down the friction surface.

    Yes, soak the rotors down with brake cleaner.
    Wipe them with a rag and throw them on.

    No need to clean the pads. Just slap them on right out of the box.
    Don’t forget to use brake grease on the back of the pads and slide pins.
