Hi guys while driving the thing I got the dreaded check engine light on and after running the OBD-II tool I got this code.

OBD-II Code P0133 is defined as an Oxygen Sensor Circuit Slow Response (Bank 1, Sensor 1)

Does anyone knows where this sensor is located in the car so I can do a visual?

And furthermore, does anyone know how to deal with this?

I do not want to go and change the sensor right away as that may not be the problem and cheap it ain't.

    Thanks

B1 S1 is the first sensor after the exhaust manifold, after the Ypipe, before the catalytic converter. Add Tacoma specs. to your profile or spell it all out here every time you ask tech questions. Example 04 2.7L 5spd. 4wd.

1999 2.4L B1 S1 is an O2 sensor so it should not be too expensive like later models which are A/F sensors. Buy a Denso O2 online from Rockauto or Densoproducts.com. Soak the 2 nuts well with penetrating oil prior to removal. Use antiseize on threads on install. Good luck with the rust.

Hi there, following up on this, I got a genuine denso for $30 postage included, did the do wednesday, the nuts where fairly easy to take the gasket so firmly in place I left it there. Accessed the area by removing the front right wheel and placing a jack and a stand, all in all an hour work for a newbie truck mechanic (I have done lotsa things on bikes).
Cost $30 and the engine light is gone, so far.
    But....
I screwed up by losing my safety wheel lock nut key, if anyone has one laying around and wants to donate it, I would appreciate it enormously.
