I just finished putting in Kicker 6x9's in my 3rd gens front doors. While I was swapping out the speakers, I decided to install Kilmat 80 mil inside the doors and around the speaker mounts. It was easy to cut, peel and stick. I would recommend wiping down the inside of the door with mineral spirits prior to installing it in the doors. Make sure to also wear gloves when your putting it in the door since the metal is sharp. I noticed it was definitely quieter when driving down the road with no music playing.

Remote start w/ vehicle control and locator, Prinsu rack w/ Cali Raised Light Bar and 360 LED lights, LED Bedlights, Tailgate lock, 3" Lift, Wheels and Tires, Raptor Lights, LED headlights and fog lights, Blacked out LED taillights, Front windshield eyebrow tint, Rough country bed molle, 8-gang switch to control LEDS, Dominator D6 running boards/side steps, Blacked out sequential mirror turn signals
Did noico sound deadening and noico closed cell foam insulation on floor, backwall, and all the doors. I can definitely tell a difference in winter with temperature and it's amazing how quiet it is.

2 different pieces and layers. The silver sheets are the sound deadening the black sheets are the closed cell foam insulation. The picture is halfway through the process. I covered everything 100%. Some people would say it's overkill but I was looking to get more thermal insulation opposed to just sound deadening.

I'm looking to do the same, is it much quieter on the road?
What brands of mat did you use?
And approximately how many sqft of each did you need?

Resonix is premium priced, but I've heard it's worth it as well. I went down that fb page black hole after going down the DIYaudio site that launched the fb page, lots of good info in there.
