Nor did I. But if you believe that wasting it for a mere style statement gets you some sort of merit badge, I will again LOL.

I think you're taking this out of context. This is a thread looking for suggestions, not attention merit badges.

    "STOCK"..... ;)
When I put my Pros on. I gained about 2" and I might have lost 1 MPG. But the damn thing corners like it's on rails and can still take a bump so it's a decent trade off.

Suggestion, have you looked into pizza cutters? Raise the truck, help with mpg? Idk good luck in whatever you decide.

If I were building my truck for street:

    - leveling kit
    - 265-70-17 P rated tires
    - light 17” wheels
    - upgrade suspension, fresh new shocks springs leafs and Bumpstops
    - Pretty sure a Hilux rear sway bar kit would work on our trucks.
    - Headers, exhaust, intake, tune and funds aren’t an issue, supercharger.

I'm not sure I've ever heard the old 'rails' comment related to a stock Tacoma, much less a lifted one.

I'll be getting new tires within the year and I've looked into 255/80/17.

Truck currently has a leveling kit but it's a "2/1 puck and block setup. Ideally I'll move to coilover bolt ons, better UCAs and a leaf pack/AAL.

Like anything else, you have to pay more for better results. IMO, best riding would be CO's and full leaf pack but you also have to keep in mind how you are using your truck. Leaf packs comes in different load rating so buy based on constant load weight or if alot of hauling. Stick with a C or D load tire and you should be fine. If the CO's are set a little less than 3", you will likely avoid needing aftermarket UCA's.
If your '05 is still on original setup, a complete suspension replacement is necessary.

Thanks! Browsing 265/75/16 SL rated tires since offroading will be minimal and restricted to light trails. Honestly looking at the Discount Tire branded Pathfinder or Trailfinder made my Kuhmo.

I ran Hankook dynapro rf10 back in the day in an SL and it was a nice smooth riding tire but now I prefer the sidewall protection of a C or D load tire. Unfortunately, C load are impossible to find in 285s but extremely happy with my new Cooper Discovery ATP II.

I am 6 months into the 3.5 inch RC lift you are looking at. The front struts have cupped my brand new cooper stt pros and I am in the process of finding time to swap it out for an Icon stage 3. I would really, REALLY, advise against the RC lift. The only good experience I have had with Rough Country is their customer service. I would not take the risk of cupping tires for a couple hundred dollars saved.

I'll be honest, I've never heard of coilovers throwing tires out of round. Seems like that has more to do with alignment being out of whack? Did you go with the RC 3.5 kit that includes front coilovers and UCAs?

Yes I work in a shop and the alignment is exactly what RC has posted, the issue is the tires hopping as they ride down the road. Instead of absorbing potholes the coils are stiff. Could be a defect, but I still wouldn’t recommend. I got the 3.5 coils, uca, rear shocks, and leaf packs. Yea

Appreciate the feedback! I've heard much better things about RC's newer vertex coilovers.

Yesssss a new Blacktop Boss to add to the Asphalt A-Team. Welcome @SB_ShovelSlayer

First we need to make your ride cushy. Class up your cabin with some LED interior lights. Definitely go for the center console organizer and glovebox organizer, those are clutch.
Upgrading to a headunit with CarPlay is 100% worth it, you can get a couple-years-old model for cheap and throw it in.
If the ImMrYo bracket is still available you'll love how it gets your rear view mirror up out of the way.

Big and knobby tires look great but we certainly don't need the harsh ride of 10 ply, so steer clear of anything load E. I'm liking my Wildpeak ST load a lot. I'd start with 32" -- they're bigger than stock and slow you down less than 33s.

If you lift, get good shocks so the drink in your cupholder doesn't spill. 5100s do the trick. Anything over 2.5" starts causing other issues / requiring more upgrades.

The first couple posts in my build thread will give you more Lux Truck ideas for your Concrete Crusher.

You forgot the two best parts of your truck: The squeaky fan belt :burnrubber:, and the heated/AC seats!
