Has anybody put flush mount led pods (rigid duallys) in the rear bumper of their first gen? I was about to start hacking until I realized that there's not a lot of space back there. Can anybody confirm or deny the ability to install them?

I would say that's a pretty unique light for the back of a Tacoma. There probably hasn't been a lot of people that has installed them. Take some measurements . I couldn't find the Dimensions online or I would have measured.

Food for thought- maybe you could make some spacers for the bumper so it sticks out a tad bit further to allow for lights.

I was going to do that exact thing on my stock bumper but you're right. There's minimal room since it's not a full size truck with a full size rear bumper. But I've seen them on Tacomas before. I ditched my stock bumper & got TG front and rear bumpers. Lots of space to mount pods and anything you want now. Just sayin'. I know. I am not helping you one bit! Lol!!!

I put some vision x flush mount lights in my bumper. You are right, there is not a lot of room. You will need to get them as close to center as possible.

My bumper was so bad it would have fell apart cutting holes for lights

I know that feeling, I believe the plasti-dip is the only thing holding my rear bumper together.
