    Excuse my vocabulary...

So long story short, my glovebox got jammed and I ended up braking the handle when forcing it open.

I purchased a new handle, however, there is this metal arm(not sure what the correct name is) that seems like its out of place internally because the glove box doesn't latch.

I tried prying the glovebox apart but was unsuccessful.

Does anyone have any suggestions before buying a new glovebox? See pictures.

The “metal arm”. Looks like it opens the catch/latch. Notice how the “handle” is offset in the GB door. The “latch” is in the center of the glove box door, faces inside. Probably have to hook the “metal arm” through/to the new glove box handle.

Pull on the “metal arm”, see if the “latch” opens.

    This exactly.

This is provided the metal arm is still linked to the latch itself. If it isn't, you MAY be able to dig around through the latch opening and reconnect it, not too sure honestly, but your best bet would be to buy a new glove box door, pricey as they are.

I went through 2 new doors myself before I realized the problem with mine was the hook the latch catches being bent a weird angle, breaking the latch teeth when i'd force it shut. A couple solid hits with a rubber hammer bent it back enough that a new door fit perfectly.

If I pull on the metal arm nothing moves and I don't see any of the mechanisms move when I look through the hole.☹

Remove the back of the glove bag door. See what’s happening. Something is busted.

So I was unsuccessful with my fixing. I did remember I still have my Carmax Care Warranty and surprisingly enough, it covers glove boxes. Just an FYI for those who are thinking about purchasing the warranty from Carmax!
