Hey peeps! So after it rains, literally almost every time it is more than drizzle, the back seat passenger side floor mat is damp. Right where you would put your right foot. Originally I thought it may have been the sliding back glass so I changed it to a solid single piece but its still damp. So I took off the door panel and changed the plastic covering and the water isn't coming in through the door. I've seen some threads on the front passenger floor mats being wet but and saw that the 1st gens had a recall on peep holes leading into the cab but those holes are in the front and the front of my cab floor mats aren't damp. ANY HELP WOULD BE GREAT.

Have you checked the weather stripping on the rear passenger door?

Perhaps after the floor mat dries out you can take a hose to the rig and try to determine where the water is coming in from. Start spraying from a low point on the truck and work your way up to isolate the water's entry point. If you start spraying from the top the entry point could be anywhere the water runs down.

Not sure if it's the same on 1st gens as it is second gens, but check the air conditioner condenser drain tube. On second gens it runs through the firewall in the passenger foot well area. If it retracts into the cab, it will leak. The front should be wet as well, but maybe it's being channeled to the rear by something under the carpet?

I'd pull the carpet completely out and check the drain plugs as well.

Worth a shot to check. This sucks but it shouldn't be an expensive fix once you figure it out.

    I've flooded my cab before...

Both you guys rock! So just for reassurance, I held the hose over the back glass for about 10 min. No damp carpet. I then held the hose over the back rear passenger door and window. What I found was if The water shoots against that window and runs into that slit between rubber and glass, it runs down to the running board and begins to build up. The carpet then gets wet from the beginning of the door entry and so on.

    ALSO

I noticed it runs down the channel under the running board where the wiring is into the front passenger floor mats and gets the floor wet. Ideas?
