    Hello!
First timer here. I have a new driver just learning to drive and they are spoiled with my 'heads up' display. However I'm planning on letting them drive my '14 Tacoma and they asked about a digital speedometer. SMH. Anyway, seems simple enough to add. I found a small simple one with a nice unobtrusive mount on the column. My only problem is locating a Vehicle Speed Sensor wire to tap into. I can't find anything online. Can someone here please point me in the right direction? Would i need to tap into the back of the cluster or the dr side junction box? Which pin?
I can send pics if needed. Thank you so much in advance!

Welcome to TacomaWorld. I'd look for one that hooks into the OBD2 port, they are plug-and-play and pretty cheap.

Something like this one (though I am not endorsing this product at all, just using as an example):

Edit: Just remembered something else. If you have an old deactivated cell phone collecting dust you could use that + a common Bluetooth OBD2 reader + something like the Torque app to also display a digital speedo.

Thank you, that would have been the smartest and easiest solution. Unfortunately I'm over ambitious and thought with a little additional work, it could be more perm and less exposed wires. I already got the GlowShift Guage and pod. Now I'm stuck and regretting that decision.
And I do have several old phones that could have repurposed for this, ugh.

A little pricey but since you already have the glowshift gauge you could use this.

I'm not sure what kind of input your aftermarket speedometer needs but there is 2 wires on the meter that generate a 0-12v square wave based on vehicle speed.
