The engine swap went well, fired up immediately at the first try. Prior to the swap, the alternator failed and got me stranded ( I felt like the brakes are dragging/locking up with ABS lighted before the engine stalled ). I rebuilt the alternator, got it tested and passed with flying colors. Now the brake pedal is HARD to push and barely can stop the truck, I have to step on the parking brake just to bring it to complete stop. I did check the ABS fuse and clean the terminals on the ABS module. I also did the brake fluid flush/exchange (using the 50+ pumps on the pedal method). Tomorrow, I will check the front calipers and the rear brakes, incase one is stuck/frozen. ABS is not lighted on the das h board. Thank you in advance. I added another photo regarding this ABS Error code.

Hard brake pedal and can barely stop the truck is indicative of no vacuum to the brake booster. Is the vacuum hose disconnected, or a plastic plug in the hose?

Here is how you test the booster. With the engine off, pump the brake pedal about 10 times. Then, push and hold the pedal. Start the engine with your foot still on the pedal. If the booster is working, the pedal will go down farther when the engine starts.

Don't sell yourself short. Changing a motor in a 2nd gen Taco is no easy task. If that's the only mistake you made, I'd say you knocked it out of the park. Good job!
