Picked up my 2021 Rav4 TRD Off-Road last week, and traded in my 2015 Tacoma TRD Sport. Appreciate all the members on this site and the wealth of knowledge. I've checked this site weekly the last couple years and I'll still stay around.

This Rav4 is awesome. Drives super smooth and looks great inside and out. Made the change due to not towing or using truck bed, more stable highway ride, MPG increase. Will always be a fan of Tacoma's.

What's the largest size tire you can fit without rubbing?

Nice, they're pretty interesting looking. Kind of a mix of a Subaru Crosstrek and a Jeep Compass. Curious what kind of mileage does something like that get?

TRDs are only available with Gas engine. I've been getting 36 MPG on highway using cruise control and averaging around 31-32 combined. The Hybrids get 40-42 MPG.

    It's a secret
My fiance recently leased the AWD Hybrid Limited trim Rav4. It is indeed quite fun to drive especially when switched to what she and I playfully call "Instant Kill Mode" (Red colored HUD, Sport-mode from the dial in tandem with S +/- one the drive selector).

It didn't take much effort for me to convince her to choose a Rav4 over her initial CR-V choice.

My wife has an XSE and she loves it, she had me put some black out overlay badges on, blacked out the chrome trim around the windows (makes a huge difference), black door handle accents and put some Tacoma sequential mirror indicators in. It gets 40 mpg all day every day. My only gripe with it is the gearbox, I hate cvt’s.

We now have his and hers Toyota’s…0DB4ADC1-9FCD-4F97-BD0A-C9260B28484C.jpgCCF0C138-C542-412D-AE5A-877118B14A41.jpg

We’ve got a Prime SE that we use as the fuel saver. Would have gotten the XSE but I could not get over how stupid paddle shifters with a CVT was. No plans for it. It’s just to save gas but it drives pretty good. Just wish the battery was slightly bigger.

Did they add the paddles? Ours only has the sport gear shift +\- like the taco auto.

Yes but only on the Prime XSE. It’s the “fastest” Toyota that they actually make themselves so I guess some genius at Toyota thought it’d be a great idea to add even more illusions to its quickness. IMO should have just saved the R&D and lowered the cost of the car.

Not trying to be a dick, but if you really traded a tacoma for a rav4, this probably is better suited for the third gen forum.

    Nice new ride! Congratulations.

I'm planning to keep both Gen 1 and Gen 2 Tacomas, but when it's time to part with the 2008 Lexus RX350, it'll likely be for a RAV4.

Great looking car, like the color. A Toyota so it should be dependable. Great highway and town car. Probably good in snow and a little mud too. Off road?? Not so much. Ok on gravel fairly smooth dirt roads but beyond that I’d probably be hesitant. Great car for the purpose you got it for.

Sorry about my comment, too much to drink. But congrats, these new rav4's and highlander's are real nice, my neighbor just got one. But not for me, hence my asshole comment.
I didn't realize the OR was for sale already, enjoy.
