    Hello all,
I was curious to see if anyone is making replacement OF grill emblem replacements. I had a Pro grill, but like the OR grill better. I am just looking for a way to switch out the chrome emblem. I saw a guy on etsy with plans for an American flag garnish for the pros. Any leads would be appreciated.

I don't think there are any solutions due to the radar behind the emblem.

Does the emblem have anything embedded in it, or is it just a piece of plastic?

I don't believe the emblem itself has anything embedded in it. It's more than just a piece of plastic though. It's made to work with the radar that runs Dynamic Cruise Control and Front End Collision Prevention systems. Part # is 53141-71010 I believe. You can look more into it.

Tampering with it will 100% void any warranty. You will also have to disable the systems mentioned somehow or have warnings all over your dashboard.

More trouble that it's worth IMO.

@mrlobaloba, I have been looking for the same thing. I have an OR grill I want to put on a truck (2016) that doesn't have the dynamic cruise and other nanny stuff. I haven't been able to find anything, did you have any luck?

No luck at all. Just a couple people that have tinted there emblems so the chrome isn’t as prevalent.

Could you tint it? either with a film or spray on. Couldnt you also just put a vinyl sticker over it? Im sure it would be pretty simple to get a vinyl made that matches the size of the oval if you are just trying to change the emblem or get rid of the chrome.

Same here. I do believe the emblem itself comes out though. You can take the one off of your grille and put it in its place and sell the radar emblem. Otherwise you'll still be left with the glossy looking emblem. You just won't attach anything to it.

theres nothing special about the "garnish" the only kinda sorta "special" thign about them is that they are flat, and a relatively even density throughout, the point is to protect the radar from damage and allow it to "see" through the protective piece (garnish) clearly. If you have an emblem with holes in it the variation in density from hole to emblem may cause the radar to mistakenly "see" objects in front of it, the uneven surface also promotes accumulation of debries and possibly obtruct the radar's view. Simply put a flat surface is a clean surface.
Theres always a chance of getting errors if you modify or replace stock parts. I honestly can't speak to the "void" warranty issue, if you put your stock garnish back on before taking it to the dealer they have no way to know and therefore no reason to void any warranty.

Something like this is exactly what I am looking for.

I am swapping the grills. I am removing the 2016 OR grill and installing a 2018 OR grill, because I like it better and I got it for free. I want to get rid of the glossy emblem on the grill.

I saw that post too. I prefer the first link you had, especially if it can be customized.
