I will be going back to work on the 17th up in the mountains. My headlights are crappy and not salvageable in my mind as the haze is on the inside. I plan to save up for some GOOD new headlights in the $1k-$1.4k range.
Being that I will be back in the mountains, I figured I'd go ahead and add a front light bar. I already have it pre-wired up to my roof platform. I need as much light as I can get.
I am looking at trying to stay sub $400 for a 40" single row. One I am looking at is the Hella Black Magic.

Anyone run one? I see lots of posts about the round lights, but I didn't see any about bars.
Also @Diode Dynamics, y'all looking at any good sales this yr? I'm not overly opposed to going a little higher.

Diode dynamics has a solid bar. You might want to check out some new oem headlights. They might be cheaper than you think. Pair that with the ultimate headlight upgrade for some solid street legal lighting

To go new OEM housings, I'm looking at about $600. As for doing an upgrade in OEM housings, I don't have the ability to disassemble housings to build them. So, I am going to be doing a P&P swap. I'm looking at Morimoto assemblies.

No need to open up the headlights. Its a halogen bulb upgrade. Look at the H4 ultimate headlight upgrade thread if your doing it on an 08 truck

Hella Black Magic 40 mounted under my roof platform. No direct glare on the windshield or hood. Not the best pictures, the fog hasn't been playing nice to get into the long stretch of road in the dark. I'm very happy with it.
