While Jimmyh has a good write up,
when I faced that same issue I ordered the doorman replacement resistor pack ( came with new connector ) and then cut the melted motor connector and wires, Soldered on some new wires, and used female spade connectors to connect the wires back up to the motor.

    Done.
I will say this, since the motor terminals are close together I used one female spade connector that had a protective shield around it so that it could not accidently "touch" the other female spade connector

Looking at it the next day its my connector that plugs into my blower. Did you get part from Toyota? I've looked at advance and they don't have the connector.

The resistor and plug have been updated to a square design along with different wire gauge. New Part numbers are listed in the pictures. https://www.ebay.com/itm/2005-2018-...RESISTOR-WITH-CONNECTOR-PIGTAIL-/323788974234

Connector to blower motor may have issue too.

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07YXLJP18. I would inspect any connection to and from the blower motor and replace what hassigns of overheating. This is a common issue on the tacomas. The resistor and wiring have been updated in the last few years. I have no affiliation with the sellers. But the part numbers you will need are listed for each item. Best of luck

Pretty sure a melted connector like that means the ground isn't working right. I think it will melt the new connector if the ground is addressed.
