I am looking to see what it would take to add heated seats but completely OEM by replacing the dual climate control module from non heated seat version to heated seat version.

The control modules look identical on the back for plugins so this would be finding the right harness and compatible pads. Has anyone dissected this wiring?

Okay so I’ve located all but I believe the last component needed.

    - Heating pads both back and bottom that include the wiring harness for the pads.

    - Climate control panel that also looks like the same back wiring of non heated seat model

    - ?? I think all is needed is the wiring harness that goes from climate control panel head unit to the heat pad wiring harness. Anyone know the part number or if that is already pre wired?

    Stock.
What's the part number for the climate control unit with the heated seat buttons? Also am I to assume the wire harness for the heated seats is included with the pads for the seat back and seat cushion?

The pads come with a wiring harness, I am still not sure if there is wiring from the climate control unit that runs to the seats though. I haven't received my truck yet I am getting it in late January just doing my research so I am prepped and ready. Also i did read somewhere that it will require a relay switch on the left side dash. I don't have a part number for that yet plan to find a salvaged or used unit unable to find on the toyota parts store.

What model truck SR? Just so you know, a daul climate control, will not work in a truck that didn't come equipped with it. It's been tried and discussed on here a few times. There's alot more to it. ( not plug and play)

Maybe / probably not helpful but under the passenger seat in my 23 TRDOR is a huge mess of wires. As the passenger seat is manually adjusted, any chance that’s a prewired rig for seat heaters?
Fwiw, I’ve been very happy with my unheated seats. Cloth for the win. Coldest winter here in a long time and the cloth heats up almost instantly. Leather or leatherette a different story, I realize.

here is a screenshot of that conversation. Lucky on the premium package its a little out of budget and very hard to come by with the chip shortages going on for these 2023 models. I was very lucky to find a longbox with just the basic tech package.

Interested in trying this. Can we add a complete parts list to the original post to track this?

Also, if it's OEM then I would not expect to have a harness from the control unit to the seats as the existing harness should manage everything. The only thing missing is the buttons and the actual pads. At least, that's what it seems to be like on most car models.

Similar to how you can add corner bed lights to trucks that didn't come with them originally.

It wont have the heat pads in there if that is what you are asking. The heat pads do come with wiring harness as for the wiring from there to the climate control dash I do not know. I cant find information on that but the conversation above seems like that might already be wired.

I am putting together the list now, I wont be able to try it until i get my truck in late january but its going to be the first mod in tandem with clazzio or katzkin.. likely clazzio for simplicity/cost/and keeping it stock.

I think since all models are dual climate control now it simplifies the mod where as before it was totally different connections.

Is that just the heated seat button working? If you a manual climate control and want the auto dual climate system, it wouldn't work. As you would need some extra servos in the vents and some other stuff the manual version doesn't come with.

Unless it is the non heated seat dual climate to the heated seat dual climate, then I that would be feasible.

I think all trucks now are dual climate the wiring in the back looks identicial on both climate control units

Yeah, mine is a manual HVAC system, and the connection In the rear are very different. So wouldn't be plug and play in my case.

Looking forward to it. I'm planning out a few things I want to do to the truck this year and haven't decided where I'll start yet. These creature comforts are so nice, though. I kicked myself after leaving the dealer and remembering I didn't think to check if it had heated seats.
