Has anyone thought about or even done a heated/cooled cup holder mod?

Get a yeti cup, problem solved. I could see how to do a heated cup holder but to have a cool one would probably be a lot harder.

If you look around you can even find heated cups that plug into a lighter outlet. Plenty of insulated cups out there for use though.

Yeah but are your cupholders heated and cooled though?

I think this mod would be more trouble than it's worth. Like others have commented, just get a plug in one or an insulated mug/cup

I wrapped the underside of my cupholders with foam insulation; it seems to help a little in the summer, particulalry if I'm running the inverter.

Get a YETI cup. It will frustrate you how slow the ice melts to become more water on a road trip!
