Buy Here Pay Here car lot restoration services.

Cerakote headlight restoration kit is under $20 and reseals the fixture after the cleaning. Unlike bug spray, toothpaste or baking soda.

    Melted plastic is shiny.
A rag moistened with acrylic solvent cement will remove headlight haze too, but you have to work quickly.

Jeesh, I didn't use it, just reported it. I use a product call HeadlightRestore.us. Simple, fast and the easiest for quick restore.

I wouldn't worry about it. People who use insect repellent regularly know that it melts plastic.

It's why I switched to Picardin based product. Works well and doesn't damage plastics it gets on.

And some places I travel could be ads for 'Biting Bugs R Us'

Hi Bill. Have you personally used the Cerakote? I’m curious as to how your results came out and longevity?

    "influencers" can get fucked imo

correct way is wet sand, then polish with 3" rupes DA polisher, then throw some gtechniq on there to keep it looking nice then go crack a beer and enjoy, knowing it was a job done right.

I did the 3M kit on my wife's 2005 Rav, can't really speak to longevity as we sold it shortly after.

My 2010 Tacoma I bought the Chemical Guys compound (Have to look for the kind) and my 3" DA, held up 4 months so far but that's including the crappy MA winter.

I got about 1.5 years out of my cerakote kit, I’ll need to redo them in the spring. Starting to haze on the very top portion of the headlight again, typically the first spot to go.

20$, 20min and 2 years of protection. I’ll do it again. My truck lives outside 24/7, 365, so I imagine it’ll last much longer if your vehicle is garaged.

I put this up there with using a heat gun to restore faded plastic.

If you use the bug spray maybe it will repel bugs and prevent them from getting splatter in the radiator and the lights to!
