It seems like my lens covers are getting a bit opaque. Anyone else finding this?

Headlight restoration is $50-$75 around here by a detailer. Or look it up and do it yourself. Happens eventually (depending on climate/humidity I guess).

My '17 is still good to go. I rub some 303 on my headlights after every wash to limit the UV impact and it's seemed to help with prior vehicles. Eventually all headlights will need restoration but the 303 seems to slow it at the very least.

OP, do you have aftermarket headlight bulbs installed? If so, which ones?

My next mod will probably be getting clear bra installed on my headlights to prevent this from happening.

after my 09 had the headlights replaced for the turn DTRL/signal bulb burn in TSB, I put XPEL coatings on them and 5 years later they are still new looking. Bought the XPEL coatings for my new 2020 before I even got the truck. It is like the 3M paint protection film and is $30 on the XPEL Website.

All plastic headlights will haze with time from UV and contaminants, you can either do the refurbishment kit stuff when it happens or put a coating on it when new and not worry about it.

I am not affiliated with XPEL but have done it 3 times and am not a genius so it can be done and prevents the hazing...

I haven't tried polishing them out yet. But, before doing so it looks like the hazing is on the inside. I'll know more after I try to polish them up. I may just pay someone to do it. By the time I spend 30 bucks on the shit to do it and dick around with trying to get it done - it's probably worth 50-75 bucks to have someone else do it for me.

Thanks for the info on the XPEL coating. i know there is stuff out there. It's good to have info on a brand that someone likes.

    Cheers,
