I’m currently using my Wahl Balding clippers. They work great, but I’m wondering if a decent electric razor made for heads would be more convenient. I’ve seen some, but the reviews are mixed.
I’m not after a ultra smooth head, like from a blade; I just want something that’s easy to run over my scalp every other day or so and keep the hairs at stubble or less.
I know we have bald guys here, so what do you use/recommend?

Probably not what you are looking for but I shave my head with a Mach III every other day. I got sick of dealing with clippers/trimmers.

When I was going through chemo and went bald, my hair would start to grow back between treatments I would use a Remington 5 head palm cutter that worked well for me.

Pit bull shaver has been working great for me over the last two years or so. A lot faster and less mess than a wet blade shave and about 85% as close.

If you’re bald, you don’t need to shave your head.

Back when I used to shave my head, I used a Mach 3 and a shit ton of lotion, because shaving will dry your scalp out like a MFer.

You’re not going bald; you’re getting more head.

    4 run, 2 don't
I'm a full head of hair guy (grows notoriously fast).

With that said, in the military I'd go bald many times for easy maintenance and just went to town with a Mach 3 razor once every few days.

After one or two uses, the moisturizer strip on the blade will wear out so it'd behoove you to use lotion to prevent getting nicked.

Mach 3. Daily except weekends. By Monday morning, my mirror reminds me why I do this.

    Wahl Professional 5-Star Series Rechargeable Shaver/Shaper #8061-100

I shave my head nearly daily and this keeps it short, short.

I have the corded 5 star Wahl balding clippers. I’d like to find a cordless version of these clippers.

Old school, safety razor, horsehair brush and soap made using beef tallow. Coconut oil as an aftershave. Usually shave every day too

Mach 3 if I need it smooth, which is rare. Usually just go real short with a wahl and call it good

Or there’s always rubbing alcohol and a match… :bananadead:

    Just getting started.
Ditto. I've tried the multi-blade brands and they're okay, but switching to a safety razor and a proper shaving cream with brush was a big win.

I have thought about trying a safety razor. It works well for you even on your head?

If I was fully bald I might try a safety razor. I use it for face shaving, but I need the Wahl 5 star to get the line of what hair I do have.

Yes, you'll remove a few chunks of skull at first, but it's an amazing shave. Chunks were removed cuz I bought a cheap Amazon razor. If you buy a quality one a lot less cuts.
I highly recommend the Merkur long handle razor. The long handle helps with the reach at the back
    https://merkurshave.com/merkur-de-safety-razor-23c-straight-guard-german-9023001/

For me it's a morning ritual. For a full face and head shave it's about 15-20 minutes. I put some music on, nice hot water soak, take some time to work a lather, 1 pass shave, re-lather and shave. It does take time vs a can soap and Gillette shave, 5 minutes.
