I’d haul 100 as well, just not all at once.

Rich people problems amuse me. I stole a pallet from work and scabbed the 2x together to patch a shed door. LOL :)

My neighbor stupidly left 10 treated 2x4s in his truck bed for 2+ days. He said they were for a project at his mother's place. I jokingly said he ought to either off load them into his garage or take them to his mother's place and put them into her garage.

He laughed and said he was not worried. On the 3rd morning he got up and they were gone. There was a home improvement company doing work a couple of houses down across the street that week. I'm convinced they took them.

    A police report was filed.

Sure. But the SB doesn't have the capacity to also carry the shadows.

I have the same extender and have used it to haul 2x8x18 to build a pergola in my five foot bed. Key was adding d rings to the front bed bolts. Worked fine.

The tailgate bends at about 700#. Found that out loading a log to bring to the saw mill. Most I’ve ever carried was 1800# of scrap copper

Just because you have and have gotten away with it doesn't mean you should convince others to do the same. The civil liability alone might be enough to make you think twice. A trailer rental is cheaper than a deductible, lawyers and the assache.

These same people that try and convince you to do stupid shit are the same ones driving around with no tarps over gravel, mattresses tied down with twine while be held with their arm and a whole host of other stupid shit while eating a Big Mac with their other hand.

If it was a real truck you wouldn't need a bed extender and it wouldn't have a mini van engine

Lmao about time you 5ft bed 16 foot lumber haulers showed up to provide counterpoints to the “hauling 2x4x8s omg you need a trailer” folks. Now we have a worthy thread

Disclaimer: Recommend you not exceed your payload rating and that it’s well secured.

It's something the GF or wife will use twice and never use again because there's no TV out there, the bon bon melt and flying bugs. I saw this on HGTV and need to have it.

Just tell the wife to smoke her weed in the garage like everyone else, because the next project will be a she shed which will just get filled with junk and become a nesting ground for spiders

That's why I like the way my hitch extender keeps the bulk of the weight off the gate.

I’ve seen others using a hitch extender for long loads, seems like a good idea as long as it’s adjusted to the same height of the bed carrying the load.
