I started the below thread in the wheels section but has anyone had hassles picking a wheel package in Canada or is this just a bad time of year?

    I wanted 16" (and 265/75r16) but I'm being told 16" rims won't fit a '23 TRD Sport.

Then for 17" most of the wheel selections I get a notice not in stock after the web site says they are in stock. I've pulled the trigger 3 times now, what a waste of freaking time.....

One gave me a list of rim alteratives but IMHO they suck. Not going to buy poo I don't like.

    You have 17" now, correct?

If 16" won't fit, it's likely because the brakes are too big.

Most 16" rims will fit, but barely, and need special low profile weights to balance. Also tire selection is less and less every year. I would go with a 17" wheel.

If you like methods, we have a bunch of different ones in stock at overlandoutfitters.ca. you can also just email us and we can give you a quote with shipping etc. (our website may autocalvulate shipping, but for big orders it's usually wrong either too high or too low.)

16" rims will fit in a 2023 Tacoma.
My 2023 TRD PRO MT came with 16" TRD Rims.
However, tge tire selection is pretty limited and I upgraded to Motegi 17" rims and 285/70/17 Falken Wildpeak AT3 Load Range E- DO NOT GET THOSE, THEY BALANCE LIKE SH!T AND RUB.
Sold the Falkens at a loss and got Toyo Open Country AT3 Load Range E in 285/70/17, they're 6lbs/tire lighter and my fuel mileage gained about 2L/100km.
I've also had 16" on my 2021 Tacoma TRD Sport Premium with 285/75/16 Yokohama Geolandar MT tires which were awesome offroad but sucked in the winter and on wet pavement.

Do as you wish, 16" will fit, but I'd go with 17" as you'll have a ton mire options for tires.
I'll try and look up some pictures of both the 16's and 17's for you.

Top picture MGM Tacoma is my 2021 TRD Sport with 16" rims and 285/75/16 tires. Looked awesome, but sucked in the winter.
Second pick, black Tacoma with box rack is my current set up, Motegi rims and 285/70/17 Toyo Open Country AT3 Load Range E, bottom is the 2023 Tacoma TRD PRO with its stock 16" rims and tires that I only used to drive her home before doing the level and upgrading to 285/70/17.

I've always liked the old school more tire/less wheel look for a truck...so I stuck with 16" on my '23 TRD Pro. Just ordered a set of 295/75/16 KO2s on a Black Friday Week promotion....saved $400! Can't wait to get them mounted up on my SCS BR6s...

I gave up and I'm sticking with my 17" OE sport rims, I like them better than most of the aftermarket rims I was looking at anyways. I'll buy some nice A/T tires 265/70r17 for it shortly.

One thing I did do is add 1" hub centric spacers, which give me about a +5 offset and looks awesome.
