I looked at those before getting an RDJ hard trifold via Amazon. With cash back, it was about $430 or so. Not even sure where the Syneticusa ones are made, but I would guess it's like the RDJ, us designed and made in China. Sorry I don't know much about them.

    Thanks.
I contacted them and they only communicate by email. They blame the virus that they can't talk to me on the phone. I can't even find anyone who has one. No real reviews just their stuff and it shows almost nothing.
I think I am going to give a hard pass to this one and spend the extra money for a known manufacturer with a warranty.

Has anyone ever purchased this cover? It seems to have decent reviews since the last post.

I decided not to chance it. Way to sketchy. I got the Pace Edwards Switchblade and am very happy with it. Only paid $850.

Very minimal leakage. It all depended how hard it rained and if it was sitting level or tilted. I was actually surprised how well it did.

Buy once cry once is the motto here and it's correct.
Don't buy some cheap knockoff or go with cheap parts. You will regret it.
I went with the Pace Edwards Switchblade and am happy I spent the extra money. It's a quality unit that works as advertised.

It is highly water resistant but none of the retractable units can be 100% waterproof and most other covers also are not 100% waterproof either. The few possible drips I get in a corner is nothing and it works great.
That goes back to the question is a frog's ass watertight?

Synetic customer service is absolute garbage. Don’t buy their products. Period.

I bought the AR Pro cover--the auto retractable with t slot rails and the quality, fit, finish and operation is actually really impressive for just over a grand. The cannister body is high quality welded stainless, the slats are nicely finished aluminum and the side rail extrusions seem rugged. The operation is smooth and the auto retract resistance is adjustable. The mounting mechanism for the tacoma is adjustable and seems very robust. There is zero play or noise from the cover on or off road.

I followed thier recommendations for applying seals and weatherstripping but i found the tacoma bed needs a little more here and there to really seal it well. I purchased some additional foam from HD and did the sides and some of the gaps in the bed top corners. Also installed a tailgate sealing kit from Amazon to keep road grime from blowing up off the road from under the bed (was finding a lot of road salt dust in there with winter in full effect). The rear header rail of the truck bed is annoyingly higher than the side rails (At least on mine) and i could not adjust it down any. This causes the cannister to be raised up just slightly so you have to mindful of how much and where you apply weather stripping to seal the cannister. The drain tubes that they provide are strangely oversized and need an adapter to go from thier large ID tube to the smaller drain holes in the bed. All that seems to have really cut most of the moisture from entering the bed.
