    If so what were your results. Are there any cons?

    Don't know what truck, engine, or supercharger you're talking about. However if 58mm is smaller than the stock pulley, it's going to make more boost. That usually mean you have to start modding your fuel system and/or computer. Colder spark plugs perhaps too. The more boost, the more fuel and timing control you need. If you post your specs somebody else may have firsthand insight.

    Im guessing youre talking about the 1st gen trd supercharger?

    @eon_blue @elnip @1997tacomav6

    Just tagged some guys above that are all running small pulleys with their first gen TRD blower. Maybe one of them can chime in with more info

    Increased heat generated as the 1st gen blower does not have an intercooler. Also i believe it will require more fueling like the 7th injector

    no smaller pulley here, but @1997tacomav6 will have some good info on them. I think he's running the smallest one you can get without going custom.

    I still have occasional pinging issues so I don't want to tempt fate with a smaller pulley until that all gets ironed out

    Yeah you will definitely need additional fuel mods if you want to run a smaller pulley. Methanol injection seems to be one of the best options for us 1st gens because it increases the octane rating substantially when needed to prevent pinging, and also does a great job of cooling the intake temps. 7th injector does an okay job of getting rid of the lean issues but doesn't do much if anything for cooling the intake. I still have crazy high intake temps with the 7th injector in the summer time.

    Just did a bit more reading and it appears the 58 mm pulley is for the 2rz/3rz.. So looks like I tagged the wrong folks lol :oops:
