Reason I ask, is that in the install instructions "Carhartt says they must be "pre soaked to prevent the darker colors from transferring to the lighter color seats? No problem doing this, however I am concerned if anyone had any probs after presoaking them? Also are you happy with the covers in general?

I'm wondering what people thought about the Car harte covers in general as well.

I saw one guy comment that he didn't care for them that they were uncomfortable. Perhaps the heavy duty material was not as soft as he liked. He did not elaborate. This guy reviews them in his tacoma

I don't see how seat covers affect comfort o_O

I have the custom fit CoverKings. They have much better stitch work that follows the seat lines. The Carhartt's look like they are big bags.

This is when I first installed, the wrinkles have worked out, but they still aren't tight like the clazzio's. They aren't the prettiest, but they keep my split protein shakes from ruining the seats.

Just ordered the Cover King mesh from Costco, $100. Saw the warning about Carhartts staining light upholstery and balked. Plus they look kind of stiff, like sitting on a potato sack.

I installed the Carhartts for my rear seats, and I have to admit I am quite impressed by them. Very custom fit from the head rests to the seat bottoms with no extra bulk or creases. Double stitching on all seams, and tough Duck material that softens enough with time that they aren't rough on you when you sit. Water resistant (and dog drool resistant) and no evidence of color bleed or staining of any kind. They are pricey, but worth every penny IMHO

I have grey Carhartt covers on light grey seats in my 17 SR5. All around. No problems with bleed through or staining. Already have washed them twice. I can't say enough good things about them. They fit great, look great, protect great too. I'm going to guess the guy in the video never owned a pair of Carhartt work pants and was expecting something soft for his delicate skin. It's warming up and I've been in there a handful of times in shorts and a tank top, no issues.
I'd recommend to anyone looking for seat covers, let me know if you want some pics. Like some have said before they don't mold right to the seat and look like a second skin but they're pretty darn tight and form fitting. I'd go take pictures but it's 0649 and still dark out.

I have them on my 2015 ( Light Gray) love them!!! I have washed them and the coated them with Scotch Guard. I have not noticed any problem with bleed though on to the seats. I have them on the front and rear seats. They fit well. Wish I would of waited for the camo ones.

I have the seat covers on my truck and did not see anything about soaking them. I do like them a lot though. Fit well and seem like they will last a long time. A+

I have the light grey covers on black seats, no issues with fade or anything of the sort.

I also really like he seat covers! Fit was a little vague at first but they have worked themselves in!

I found that info when I "pre-read" the install instructions from Carhartt.

Yes...I installed the grey Carhart seat covers on my 2017 TRD OR, they turned out great and work exactly as I had hoped.

I have front and rear carhartts, didn't pre-wash like instructions said. Haven't taken them off to wash yet. Love them.
