I want a solid tonneau cover & I really like the BakFlip. I have a Toyota bedliner on my '04 6' bed that goes over the top of the bed rails. Local installer guy says he would just cut off the part of the liner that goes over the rails. Crazy. Under that liner is very worn paint after 20 years, so, not gonna do that.

BakFlip sales contact says it'll bolt right in no problem (it won't). Those protrusions above the wheel wells will interfere.

Most I see have spray on liners or below the rail liners. Not interested in making this a bigger project that it already is though.

Open to other brands, but I would certainly prefer a flip type solid cover.

    Thanks!

I had to remove my plastic bed liner to install my BakFlip trifold. Don't see it working otherwise.

    Don't regret it one bit.

Thanks. Yea, the sales guy was oblivious. The installer guy was being practical, like "it can be a 1 hour job or an expensive all-day job to make something work, your choice". I plan on installing myself. Maybe I should just buy it and see what I can make happen one way or the other. Crazy that price has essentially doubled in a couple of years.

Can you cut just the wheel well protrusions down from the top enough to allow the BF rail go on?

Awesome! Thanks for the pics! You have a spray on liner but it gives me some perspective. Looks like a clean install. I know I can make it work, but how much work is the question.
