I'm looking to get a kind of a cali squat on my 06 tacoma but i don't want it to be obnoxious. I want to put the rancho "quick lift struts" on and then put my existing leveling kit on top of the new strut so id get like an additional 2 inches of fit from what i have now. has anyone done this before or know if it would work? I'm just a bit nervous about putting them on because i don't want to add any stress on the front end.

Horrible idea, the only thing you'll do is f up your front end. Your leveling kit is a strut spacer, you can't safely stack these.

There's countless stories on here about the nightmare of spacer lifts. There are affordable alternatives, look up bilstein 5100's, these would actually preload the spring to force the suspension to hold your front end up higher.

Quick Lift struts can mount just fine to a spacer.

He's not asking about adding a spacer to a spacer.

5100s or those Quick Lift struts will both work.

This guy would know way more than I. Sorry to misinform. I assumed it was another spacer.

so how could i get like an additional 1.75-2.5 inches of lift in the front (on top of the 2 that i already have now with the leaving kit)

The same way you planned to. It's not going to ride very good, and you may have other issues doing so, but it's possible to do.

Are you 2wd? If so, remove your front lift, and do a spindle lift. I think that gets you about 4".

If you offroad, your idea in your OP will be a terrible ride and you will probably regret it.

This is where I was headed with my last post.

If you're 4x4, you need to get a real lift kit (drop bracket will be the only option if you want 4"+) and not try to do 2 things at once, or be happy with less lift. If your front can't be up high enough, lower your rear end.

Pull out your wallet (drop bracket lift), don't lift so much, or have a diminished ride quality and go with a Quick Lift/5100.

and another reason i wanted to lift it was because i want to go up to 285 tires and i don't want them to rub in the front (i currently have 265)
