Has anyone attempted a mod to hack the touchscreen for video use?

I used to own an Acura, and one of the guys on that forum figured out how to hack the touchscreen display for watching video files. The premise was that if it could show video from the rear camera, it could be used to show video from your phone.

I know, safety and driver distractions are terrible and all that. For the sake of discussion, let’s just assume this will be for when the car is stopped.

Has anyone attempted this with a 3rd gen?
