I have a 2019 TRD sport, had the tri-fold tonneau cover installed at the dealership, but I think they left some parts out because I get a ton of water in the bed when it rains.
I looked at my truck and there are some gaps at the front corners.
I looked at some other trucks with the hard cover and they seem to have some rubber inserts there, but I can't find them anywhere to buy.
    Any suggestions?

Welcome to the forum. :hattip: I would suggest the dealer you purchased the truck from.

Pretty sure in the US anyway that the factory cover is a factory installed option because it requires different bedrails to allow it to seal perfectly. My aftermarket cover seeps just a bit due to the bedrail design not being perfectly flat. The front gaps will likely be filled with adhesive foam weatherstripping.

I purchased the LoMax and it did not come with anything to plug these holes up front. Since they are factory bed openings I would not expect the tonneau cover company to provide a solution for this part. I am also interested in how others plug these.

I have the same issue with mine. More water than I would like. Where can I find the actual parts list for the factory tonneau? I just want to double check if it's all there, and if it's installed correctly.

I haven't dug into it too much yet but was thinking of maybe using a small piece of aluminum or plastic and cut a bit bigger than the hole. Then use silicone sealant/adhesive to hold it in place over the hole from the inside of the bed.

If you look around you will see that someone who purchases a truck with a factory installed cover will have different bed top rails. If you buy the cover from a dealership you would likely need to also buy the rails separately. My Tyger T5 came with adhesive weatherstrip for whatever areas needed. I did not install any and mine just seeps a bit of water above the fender wells. This is the result of the channeled design of the bed top rails allowing water to enter under the weatherstrip on the folding cover.

These are the part numbers of the rubber plugs they are $28.00 a piece so they are not cheap. Also they won't prevent all the water leaking in so I also used some black silicone calk and it's much better.

Can be purchased from Bam Whosale Parts one is drivers side and the other passenger side. Sorry it won't let me insert a direct link to Bam but if you do a google search there are other OEM part dealers that carry them. I went to my local dealer (Bel Air MD) and he wanted $57.00 each so by online.

Well the truck had the Tonneau on when I saw it at the dealership (I'm assuming it was factory installed). The plastic covers on the bed rails are different in order to expose the studs for the factory Tonneau. When you say buy the rails separately, are you referring to those plastic covers or to something additional?

If yours is factory installed rather than purchased from Toyota and installed after purchase you will be good on the bedrails. I’m talking about the plastic caps on the top of the bed where it closes and seals. I was hoping to find a used factory unit and was aware I would also need to swap bedrails if I found one. I think all of the covers are going to leak to some extent. I don’t notice much water coming in from the gaps behind the cab, my aftermarket just seals under the cover near the wheel wells, but it’s pretty minor. Look at any adjustment potential?

Well I have not put much thought into the mechanics yet. I was probing around to see if they regularly leak, or if it was just mine. I'll probably take it off this week to look at the whole assembly to see what I can do. If they normally leak, I'll probably put it up for sale and get something that seals better. So anyone looking for a factory short bed tonneau in the MD area is in luck. I've had it for a week.

I just pick one up had to go DE to meet the guy half way. They do leak some but I think you can minimise. I will let you know if its better after my efforts this weekend. The one thing I like about the cover is that it's safe and won't fly off.

What model years are these supposed to fit? Says no fit on a 2019.

Fit on 2016-2019 also might need a notch on the side rails where it fits unless it was done by the factory already.

I have a BakFlip G2 and it came with two seals (like post #15). Watch this video at the 0:25 mark and the 1:44 mark. I'm guessing you're missing those two seals.

This is the cheapest option you can buy the adhesive foam from Amazon they have 1/4" inc 1/2". With the plugs if the rail wasn't cut you need to do that plus way more expensive. I had no choice the rail was already cut.
