Harbor Freight tools thread.

I have the HF foldable one. For the little bit of welding I do (poorly), it's more important that it folds up to save space.

 

He gave me an idea...maybe buy a rolling tool box and put my extension table on it

Certainly too lazy to cut and weld legs to the new top

 

Especially if it rolls up to the big table and is right at height.

 

Bigger table gets picked up this week so I can make it any height

 

It doesn't get as much credit as it deserves really

Fancier tables just make it really easy for attaching things to, squaring them up, and all that good stuff

Enough fabrication and you begin to build your own squares and jigs and figure it all out anyway

What you pay for a nicer table is a large work surface and convenience

For a novice, small time hobbyist it's great

 

Has anyone seen either a sale on the Daytona jacks, or a decent coupon that can be used to buy one recently? I'm in the market for one, however the only things I get from HF are surveys and crap like that. For some reason, even when I was a Fast Track member and bought a bunch of big items I didn't get jack.

 

Every now and then they get a few bucks off, but hfqpdb.com is the site you should check for coupons.

Trying to get into welding and HF cart & table will come in handy

 

I found the best budget solution for that thing is welding a thicker table top directly on it, and run it for awhile

I'm literally using mine as we speak

 

I like it! Seems to be just a starter table but looks like a lot of people really like its design.

If you ever want to "upgrade" just make your own

And if you want a fancy table with the holes and whatnot, get it done locally and fab up your own legs

It's what I'm doing now, but that HF table held me over for a good year and a half

Now I'm in the process of making myself two more tables

I'll bring my car home this Thursday from my friends house/shop. Tomorrow we finish some small things, the rest I'll do at home. He was mocking me and my tiny little generic 2 ton floor jack. Figured if I'm going to be under it I should get a decent one.

 

Paint your cabinets black and the doors purple.

 

Who makes this table?? I am liking this a lot. I don't do any welding, but I would love a wheeled tool chest with a solid top to use as a work bench.
