I bought the Quantum last week for a work beater, so I can keep my Streamlight clean if I’m in some nasty.

$6 and change, which blows the mind. It’s perfect for what I use it for.

I use two of them when I do CMCs. The extra light in the wheel well from two directions is awesome when looking through a welding hood. Beats dragging out a corded light and having more shit in my way while I work.

I made a MOD to the 2- Quantums and 4- 588 Lumen Tactical Flashlights I have by attaching a strap on the tail caps. Removing the straps from the many HF freebies I have, then drilling a hole in the tail caps. When it's cold I find myself dropping the lights with an aluminum body and most times that strap keeps me from dropping it, it's also useful if you want it hung when not in use.

I had the light switch light attached to the top of the inside of my truck cap. Worked great till I got around to installing real LED's.

I just recently heard the idea of using the flip switch light to illuminate the inside of your tool chest ~hint...hint~ :boink: @T4RFTMFW. My house still has knob&tube wiring, so I bought 4@ $1.99 each on Black Friday and it will go a long way, especially the staircases in my 3 story home.

Edit - Just remembered my Leer cap had a light installed but never worked, so I might try your idea. If I ever did camp in the back it would be nice to have a light there.

There’s a light in the hallway, just flip the switch.

I posted this on T4RFTMFW's Garage tools thread, where this is about tools thought I would post here too.

Believe it or not, I found this vintage Craftsman toolbox discarded on trash day. I searched and they still make the replacement for the key cylinder, so I may purchase that.

Thanks, Almost mint and needed a toolbox like that too... now if I can find a vintage lower half chest to place it on. SUPER happy finding it and saving it from the landfill. :)

I like that center drawer, I’d have a hard time not filling it with various crap and make it the “junk drawer.”

Sweet find for the right price!

Had a $119 coupon for the Arcsafe welding helmet. Great helmet for the price. I can actually weld better with it, the view is remarkably better than any of my old ones.

I upgraded from the cheap $35 HF helmet to that one. Quite an upgrade! Much more comfortable to wear and easier to see the puddle.

Apache 3800... these cases are great for the price. Fit mavic pro, Nikon d3300, extra lens, 3 batts for drone, remote, and chargers /cables. Been using it the past year and it's nice being able to throw such expensive gear around without worrying about it. Plastidipped the pluck n pull foam so it doesn't fall apart.

30". I added eye bolts with wingnuts to hold it down since they dont come with anything and recommend clamps. I welded nuts to the bottom to thread the bolts into. Also welded nuts to the "feet" so I can bolt it to the workbench.
One of these days, I will put a back brace on to make it less flexible when bending.
