I have one bolted to the tailgate of my trailer. I have abused it time after time and it keeps on rolling

Quick update. The second time I used it to unload more reject pieces at the local dump I noticed that the bracket broke on one side where it holds the strap that attaches to the tailgate. It wiggled over and got in the way of the latch mechanism and so when I closed the tailgate it cracked that piece of plastic. I think the reason it moved was because the two "C" clamps on the pole on either side of the bracket that hold it in position got loose on one side.

I emailed harborfreight and they said there aren't any parts available for that unit so just bring it back to the store and return it. I tried to do that but my local store said they had 3 over the phone but when I got there of course there were 0.

They were agreeable to me just taking the one bracket since it's just annoying to have to trim the sheet again. Will try again tomorrow.

Quick update. I returned the unloader I had to the local store. Then I ended up finding out that the Saddlebrook, NJ store (about an hour drive) had it so I trekked down there and bought a new one.

Installing it a second time around I think I screwed up and didn't use the proper hole. I ended up lifting the brackets slightly off the top of the tailgate which allowed me to get a nice tight fit on the rubber pads of the bracket. Now it's not going anywhere and won't slip when I close the tailgate.

Worked amazingly well on a full load of sugar maple firewood I delivered the other day. The key is spraying the bed with the silicone spray. That really just lets everything slide super smooth.

That guy in the you tube video displayed such high enthusiasm and excitement to a deflated state fairly quickly when he had to hand toss the leftover pieces of wood:rofl:

That guy is me. I was not deflated. There's bound to be some wood stuck on the wheel wells.

I think it's a good product, love your enthusiasm but it visually came across that way. Thanks for the review cause I didn't even realized that thing even existed. I'm considering getting it if it would work with furniture to prevent me from climbing in the bed to unload.

No worries. That was the first time using it too. I wasn't sure it oculd handle the full load of wood like that but it did.

I've learned to leave a little extra room by pulling the sheet past the cab and up a little. That helps catch some of the pieces that fall backwards.

That said, it saves a ton of time and even if I have to get up there and throw a few pieces by hand it's a helluva lot better than doing the entire bed by hand. You will see.

I took apart my playset and loaded up the bed with the pieces. That helped me get all the shorties out of the bed without having to get into the bed at all. So I think it will work just fine for furniture and anything else as long as it isn't past 2000lbs or too odd shaped or pointy.
