What’s a good replacement that’s bright and last? It’s a h11/h16 bulb I tried some but they don’t last. I don’t won’t a new pod light looking for best bulb replacement.

    You need to pick one...

Performance or Durability. You will not find both.

You need to make sure yours has the H11 fog lamp. The H11 is not compatible with the H16 fog lamp. If its the H16 bulbed lamp, then you should save your money trying to find good h16 bulbs, and pick up a set of h11 oem fogs or take a look at the SAE J583 LED fog lamp thread at the top of the "Lighting" subforum.

Get the OEM Toyota LED fog lights. Once adjusted they are really good.

GE sold off their lighting division to Tungsram, which still makes very good bulbs. The 3rd gen H11 headlight thread has sources for the tungsram bulbs.

That’s overwhelming and confusing all the info in those threads. Page 1 at the top needs a list of the bulbs from best to worst. So I’m still unsure especially since I can’t find the best recommended bulb.

Your truck is not H11 unless you modified it, it is H16. H11 was only available 2016-2019 on TRD trucks for 3rd Gen. 2020+ are all H16.

There are no performance or better H16 bulbs. H16 is a very low performance low power bulb, thus no manufactures bother with a performance version.

The least expensive option is to find some used OEM 16-19 TRD H11 assemblies, these are referred to as wide-angle fogs, which are significantly higher performing that the standard H16 fogs. From there the best H11 bulb available is the H11 Tungsram Platinums. The Platinums are higher performing than the GE (Tungsram) +130s.

I’d suggest watching the marketplace section for fog takeoffs people sell when upgrading to SAE LED fog assemblies. You might even consider posting a wanted post in there for looking to buy fogs.

That’s good advice, I got my H11 55W wide angle fogs off the marketplace for around $50. My GE (Tungsram) +130 H11 in my low beams are still good after two years but I don’t drive often at night.

Here’s a link to the part numbers for the OEM Valeo H11 55W wide angle fog lights:

I would pass on the H16 19W fogs.

    Minor correction, the H11s are 55w. :)

The GE/Tungsram +130s are a good bulb, especially in the 3rd Gen projector headlight. The Platinums are just a little better. 2 years is a pretty good run.

LED interior, license plate, and fog lights. More to come.
@crashnburn80 I could be wrong but I thought I read that the TRD Off Road came with H11 even in the newer years?

@tacos4u if you keep checking you can find a returned set of OEM LED fogs on Amazon for under $100. That's probably what 3 sets of high performance halogen bulbs would cost you and you only need to install them once. Its a really simple install. Took me less than 10 minutes.
