I have a 2019 SR and will be doing a modified version of Nitori's OEM SR Foglight mod! to add OEM fog lights in the next week or two when all my parts come in. I already have a set of the H11 55W OEM Fog light housings with standard bulbs that I got from someone in the forum. I am interested in trying some of the amber/yellow H11 bulbs in the fogs, and would like some reviews from some of you who have them already. I’m not interested in “drop in LEDs”, or LED fogs, just the regular H11 halogen/Zenon bulbs in amber or yellow.

For those who have H11 amber or yellow bulbs in your fogs, can you please share the following?
    1. What brand/part amber/yellow H11 do you have?
    2. How do you rate brightness?
    3. What is your experience with how long they last?
    4. Did the bulbs fit your 3rd Gen Tacoma OEM H11 55W fog light housing without have to trim a tab? (No problem if I have to, just wondering).

Bulbs I am considering so far:

Nokya H11 Arctic Hyper Yellow Stage 1 2500K Halogen Headlight / Fog Light Bulb – 2 pack- $18.95
    Rating: 4.4 out of 5, 92 ratings
    https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0064FXNUE?psc=1&th=1
(appears one tab may have to be trimmed from a post in the forum?)

Optilux Hella H71071132 XY Series H11 Xenon Yellow Halogen Bulbs, 12V, 55W, 2 Pack- $30.16
    Rating: 4.4 out of 5, 443 ratings– Amazon’s Choice
    https://www.amazon.com/Optilux-Hell...Optilux+Hella+H71071132&qid=1590441188&sr=8-1

HELLA H11 YL Twin Blister Xtreme Yellow Bulb (12V 55W), 2 Pack- $20.30
    Rating: 4.5 out of 5, 132 ratings – Amazon’s Choice
    https://www.amazon.com/dp/B079VYZ2TP

    Biocheng H11 Yellow Halogen Headlight Bulb, Long Life 12V 55W, 16 Months Warranty, 2 Pack - $10.99
    https://www.amazon.com/Biocheng-Yellow-Halogen-Headlight-Warranty/dp/B082HLXD4M/ref=sr_1_23?dchild=1&keywords=nokya+yellow+H11&qid=1590442803&s=automotive&sr=1-23&th=1
(Because how can you go wrong for $10.99 a pair and a name like Biocheng :D )

If I don’t like any of the amber/yellow ones I eventually try, I’ll probably drop in a pair of GE (now Tungsram) Megalight Ultra 130+ bulbs like I currently have in my H11 low beam projectors, which are a noticeable improvement in brightness over the stock bulbs.

Thanks for any feedback you have!

I ran Nokya hyper yellow bulbs on my Yamaha, and my Miata. I have always been well pleased with them. More than likely will put them in the fog lamps on the Tacoma.

Definitely will consider these, saw where another forum member used these too. Thanks!

do those hella's fit a 2019 tacoma? For some reason Amazon keeps telling me they don't fit but seems like plenty of people are using them on 3rd gens.

I just used the yellow film cover over the stock fogs. Did it mainly for the looks. Can't really tell any difference in the lighting intensity. Low cost $$$$

I have the Hellas and really like them. Just be aware that the H11 bulbs get hot and and newer plastic lenses might not be up to the challenge. I swapped in a pair of older glass lenses when I installed the bulbs

It was around 2019/2020. My 21 has the H16 housing with plastic lenses. The H11 blubs will fit just fine but I was concerned about the extra heat.

I went with autooneled.com yellow leds. They’re cheap and very bright holding up well going on a year or so now.
