Gun Holster Mount

Looking for an option to mount my holster while driving for more comfort and easier access. To be clear when I leave the vehicle the gun will be holstered on me and if it is left in the truck for any reason it will be locked in a liberty handgun vault. I'm right-handed and drive a manual so something on the side of the center console could work as long as it sits low enough so it doesn't interfere with shifting.

Anyone mount up some molle panels either on the front of the seat so it sits between your legs or on the side of the center console? Does it require drilling? Other solutions?

Keep it clean looking and accessible, here is a good one that has a mag slot as well.

 

Do you have that mount? It looks like you could remove that mounting clip if you ever wanted to get rid of the mount, except for the darn tape. Is the tape really necessary?

 

Victory off-road has a holster slot built into the molle panel. There are also companies that make magnetic under dash holsters.

 

I always carry a compact in or out of the vehicle.
I have a full size .40 in a safe box under the seat.

If I were to take off my carry it would simply go in the center console for easy access.
I do not like having a pistol "insight" if someone walked up to the window.
The less they know the safer they are.

I have a mag retention on my console. Fits both of my usually EDCs, XDS9 and a S&W40
And a console vault....

The under seat looks interesting as well....

Yes, I agree. Ideally, it'd sit low behind my legs so it wouldn't really be in sight.

 

I've seen those magnetic quickdraws but I'd prefer something that covers the trigger. Albeit a very cool design!

Do you carry AIWB? you can use the Alias mount from Neomag. You can get one with a velcro backer and mount the carpet (if there is enough height), drill the plastic, use VHB to mount it, or Molle mounted. Gun never leaves the holster. Gun and holster go from your IWB belt mount to truck mount.

I went with console molle from Caliraised LED and paired it with the Alias mounts from Neo Mag for both the knife and firearm. Super easy to go from truck to IWB. I also have the console vault in the arm rest.
