    Hey folks,

I do not work for and am in no way affiliated with ACC. I have bought a lot of their kits for projects over the years and never had any issues with fitment or color or excess wear.

I know there has been interest in vinyl flooring for Gen III. There have been several posts about what may fit (Gen II kits) but ACC currently does not list one. Now that they are on the way out, I suspect it will be soon.

I called ACC yesterday and expressed interest. They will (hopefully) be getting back to me soon. If we can get commitments (10+) up that may help the initial development (and us too!)

For those who have never bought one, these are molded carpet kits. They fit great but require minor trimming around the edges and for some holes (seat bolts, console etc.). Not too bad and easy work for an upholstery shop. It's a fun saturday job (clean work) if you have a friend helping you out. They have a wide range of colors if you want to go for something different (like I always do) and standard colors if you want to keep it stock.

They have vinyl like in taxi cabs and police cars, black, grey, and blue (I installed a red vinyl kit years ago but that has been long discontinued). The main issue is the pattern. Once they have our pattern we can order any material and color we want.

Consider me #1 on the list

Here's the cost of standard carpet in a 2nd gen... I'd assume the price would be similar.

That's right-I can't imagine it being significantly different. The mass backing is a thick rubber backing. I usually opt for this unless I have already thoroughly dynomatted the car.

Was this a pipe dream? Any more word from ACC or did this idea go the way of the dumpster? I’m interested but not going to keep waiting for something that isn’t in the works.

I’ve called them and they have no idea about a plan for a vinyl option for a 2016 to 2023 Tacoma. Please let us know who you talked to. I talked to five different individuals and nothing.
